Camping Astrid is the family campsite par excellence located on the Belgian coast. The De Coster family have a long history of pampering and offering families who come with their friends and children all the facilities needed to guarantee wonderfully relaxed holidays. De oorspronkelijke twee woonhuizen op deze plek werden in de 19de eeuw samengevoegd tot één groot pand. Het huidige complex dateert van 1902 en herbergde het 'Institut Communal de Demoiselles'. Later kwam op de begane grond een groentezaak. Een lift bezorgde het toenmalige Hôtel du Nord in 1965 een nieuw elan. Het huidige Hôtel Polaris is in restauratie met het oog op een nieuwe bestemming.
